The Sr. Evaluation Officer will have the following primary responsibilities
Lead, co-lead and/or participate in thematic evaluations assessing the effectiveness of GEF interventions, with a particular focus on Biodiversity, Sustainable Forest Management and Land Degradation and related integrated approaches. This includes conceptualization and conduct of evaluations, including preparation of approach papers, drafts and final reports and data collection. As lead, co/lead or senior member of thematic evaluations, the senior staff will oversee the work of junior staff, including by providing quality-assurance (setting and upholding high standards of quality for various evaluations), and will engage with GEF Agencies and the GEF Secretariat staff in all stages of development of the evaluations, synthesis reports and learning engagements. Participate in other evaluations of thematic areas, programs and policies, independently or as part of an evaluation team.
