The hydro-power potential of Mozambique is estimated at 12 500 MW, which is considered to be the largest in Africa. Despite the extent of this resource, most of the country's energy requirements are currently met by biomass.

The objective of this report is an attempt to design indicators tailored to a typical project in each transport mode that reflect project objectives, expected outcomes, sustainability, sector circumstances, and country conditions.
