This report looks at a technical cooperation (TC) operation attached to a multi-sector project operation for the city of Bucharest. The TC was carried out by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).

This Project presents an innovative approach to address Romania's lack of investment in the field of energy efficiency in the municipal and industrial sectors.

The overall objective of this project is to assist Romania in reducing the long-term growth of GHG emissions from heat and power generation plants and from consumption of fossil fuel sources in the main sectors of energy demand.
