Gabriel is a natural resource management professional with a specialty in spatial analysis using GIS. At his previous position with Winrock International, he performed spatial analyses to quantify ecosystem services with a focus on forest and water resources in tropical countries. He also designed a geospatial M&E initiative and supported countries in establishing their forest monitoring systems through REDD+ programs. Gabriel has a Master’s degree from the University of Arizona in Watershed Hydrology with a focus on hydrological modeling. Prior to his graduate studies he served with the Peace Corps in Honduras as a Protected Areas Management Advisor.
